Updating our Strategic Plan

After successfully implementing the first two years of a three-year strategic plan, I was engaged by the Chief Officers of State Library Agencies (COSLA) to work with them on updating the plan for the coming three years. With that goal in mind, I designed a set of in-person and virtual working sessions that asked Members to reflect on their recent accomplishments, identify where they saw potential for new programs, projects, and initiatives; describe their future success in terms of what members would be saying, and what they would be doing differently in the future; and identify how they would hold themselves accountable. As a result of the planning work, Members also opted to update the COSLA mission to reflect the new strategies and directions they had defined.
