Curating and Creative Placemaking
A celebration of the arts and community. I guest curated this creative placemaking initiative that converted a defunct dry cleaners into a temporary home for eight weeks of programs including performance, visual arts, poetry, baking, and spoken word. Over twenty programs were presented with participation from over ninety artists. The expo brought neighbors together in new ways, re-activated an abandoned building, and ultimately attracted a small business to move into the neighborhood that is still in place today.
