Defining and Designing ConservationSpace

Led by the National Gallery of Art, USA, ConservationSpace brought together conservation scientists working across disparate materials (painting, sculpture, public art, etc.) and in different environments (museums, libraries, public spaces) to design and scope a community-driven, open-source software application for conservation documentation. I designed and facilitated the workshops that focused on documenting conservator needs and system requirements; co-authored the build proposal, and returned to design and facilitate the planning meetings for the first phase of software development.
